Just like Santa Barbara
, Goleta has an incredibly dynamic landscape that make it an extremely flexible place to take beautiful wedding photographs. From the bluffs overlooking the beach, to old town, to the fields of lemons & avocado orchards that line the hills of Goleta, you can't go wrong getting married in Goleta. Here are a few of the great venues that are available in Goleta that you can get married at.
If you're looking for a classic, beach venue and luxury experience, you can count on the Bacara Resort & Spa by The Ritz-Carlton
to provide incredible ocean views and fantastic, high end service that is sure to provide for beautiful wedding photography. Goleta wedding photographers appreciate the minimalist, crisp white walls and minty-green landscaping that the Bacara Resort & Spa offers. Sitting atop a bluff, beautiful, paths wandering between gardens and endless Channel Island views, this resort is both a dream for you, and your wedding photographer.
For the more bohemian couple, The Kimpton Goodland
in Goleta provides chic & playful grounds with a vintage-surf feel. This is perfect for a simple, yet sophisticated, down-to-earth, tropical feel for your wedding photography. While I've never photographed a wedding at this venue, I have personally stayed here after my own wedding and it is absolutely fabulous. There are tons of nooks and crannies in this venue for your wedding photographer (hopefully me!) to capture artistic and romantic wedding photos.
I have a soft spot for this next venue because it's where I married my amazing wife, Steff. Stow House
in Goleta is a beautiful, Carpenter Gothic home that sits on the land of Rancho La Patera, a historic and preserved landmark in Goleta. This gorgeous house was built in the 1872 for Sherman Stow (son of William Whitney Stow, legal counsel to the Southern Pacific Railroad) & his fiance, Ida Hollister and was lived in by three generations of Stow descendants.
This venue has everything you need for a simple and timeless wedding with a southern-feel but right at home in Goleta. Wedding photographers love this venue for it's diverse landscaping & grounds. The property features incredible redwoods, bamboo gardens, large oaks, and a large lawn that can hold up to six hundred guests! Adjacent to the home, you can find the Stow's ranch pond, now known to locals as Lake Los Carneros. This pond overlooks stunning views of the Santa Ynez mountains and provides a perfect backdrop for incredible sunset photos.
For those seeking a comfortable & classic golf course venue, the Glen Annie Golf Club
provides astounding views of Goleta & the Channel Islands. The Glen Annie Golf Club hosts a beautiful gazebo on a luscious lawn for you to get married in front of all your family and friends. For your romantic photos, your wedding photographer will join you and your spouse on a golf cart to some of the most beautiful areas of the course. We'll take warm and vibrant photos in front of a beautiful weeping willow, and moving on towards the gorgeous bridge that crosses the creek running from the course's water feature.
Last on the list of notable venues in Goleta is Rancho Dos Pueblos
(formerly Dos Pueblos Ranch). This is another historical landmark that any wedding photographer in Goleta would be ecstatic to photograph. This venue has expansive grounds that include a barn, a luscious Sycamore grove, magnificent bluffs, and the Historic Casa Grande Estate. While this venue can be set up to be absolutely astounding, it's important to note that this venue is just a "shell." meaning that everything needs to be brought in to decorate and be prepared to host guests.
As you can probably tell from the outpouring of writing above. I know Goleta. I love Goleta. While those are just a few of the real venues listed in Goleta, I have to mention a few more ideas for brides possibly looking to elope in Goleta. You can't go wrong eloping on the Elwood Bluffs or up in the mountains at Lizard's Mouth to name just a couple examples.
